Privacy policy
Effective October 1, 2026
This policy covers the Square Mini Games website (squareminigames.com) and the Square Mini Games apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android. Questions go to support@squareminigames.com.
Playing as a guest
You can play every game without an account. Guest progress is kept only on your device, in the browser tab or app you are playing in, and is never sent to us. Your sound settings are also saved only on your device.
What we collect when you create an account
- Login details: your email address and password. Our account provider stores the password in a protected (hashed) form, and we never see it.
- Username: the permanent name you choose.
- Game progress: scores and best scores, finished runs and when they happened, coins, upgrades, skins, trails, pets, and challenges.
- Friends: your friends, invites you receive, and the email addresses you send invites to. We don't email the people you invite.
- Purchases (website only): records of coin packs you buy. See the payment privacy notice. The apps don't sell anything.
When you log in, your login session is saved on your device so you stay logged in.
What other players can see
Leaderboards are public: anyone can see the usernames and best scores at the top of each game. Friends you accept can see your username and whether you have completed every challenge. A player you invite sees your username. You see theirs only once they accept, and an invite never shows whether an email has an account. Other players never see your email address.
Because usernames are public, they must not be offensive, hateful, sexual, or threatening, pretend to be someone else, or contain personal information such as a full name, address, or phone number. We may change an inappropriate username, and we may ban or delete an account that breaks these rules or is used to cheat or abuse Square Mini Games.
How we use your information
We use it to run your account, save your progress across devices, show leaderboards and friends, stop cheating and automated abuse, enforce the username rules above, answer support emails, deliver purchases and handle refunds, and meet legal obligations. We don't show ads, we don't use analytics or tracking tools, and we don't sell or share your information for advertising.
Services we use
These providers handle data for us only to run Square Mini Games:
- Supabase stores accounts and game data and sends account emails, such as sign-up confirmations.
- Cloudflare hosts the website, forwards support email, and runs Turnstile, a check that you are a person when you log in, sign up, or buy coins. Turnstile looks at your IP address and basic browser and device information.
- Stripe handles coin purchases on the website, under Stripe's privacy policy.
- jsDelivr and Google Fonts deliver the account code library and the fonts used on our pages. Like any website, they receive your IP address when your device downloads these files.
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
How long we keep it, and deleting your account
We keep your account data until you delete your account. You can delete it at any time from your profile in the app or on the website. Deleting it removes your login, username, progress, leaderboard places, and friends right away. Purchase records are kept, no longer linked to your email or username, as long as needed for refunds, disputes, accounting, and the law. See how to delete your account, including how to ask us by email if you can't log in.
We keep support emails as long as needed to answer them and resolve any issue.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing support@squareminigames.com from your account's email address. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Square Mini Games is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 should not create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Connections use HTTPS, and the database lets each account read and change only its own data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don't use anywhere else.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. For significant changes, we will also post a notice on the website.
